Who We Are

Our mission is to honor God by helping cats in need, providing them with love, care, and the opportunity to find their forever homes while creating a welcoming space where people and cats can connect.

We believe every animal deserves kindness, compassion, and love. We want the way we care for our cats, our guests, and our community to reflect those values in everything we do.

“The righteous care for the needs of their animals.” Proverbs 12:10

Cats have been a part of my story for almost as long as I can remember.

When I was three years old, I got my cat, Beltrix. He became one of my very first loves and was a huge part of the reason I grew up loving cats so deeply. I didn't know it then, but that little cat would help shape a dream that wouldn't come to life until many years later.

As I grew older, I knew I wanted to do something that would make a difference for cats. In a community where I saw many resources focused on dogs, I felt like cats needed something special too. I just didn't know what that “something” was yet.

Then, at 17, something even bigger happened in my life: I found Jesus.

God completely changed the direction of my life. He brought people into my life who helped me grow in my faith, taught me more about Him, and encouraged me to become the person He created me to be. I'm still growing in my faith every single day, but I know I wouldn't be where I am today without Him.

Eventually, I visited my first cat café, and something clicked. I realized this could be my way of combining my love for cats with my desire to serve and make a difference. I could create a place where cats could be loved and cared for while waiting for homes, where people could see their personalities outside of a traditional shelter, and where a simple visit could become the beginning of a forever family.

Then came one of the hardest moments of my life.

During the night of July 21 into July 22, 2026, I lost Beltrix. After having him by my side since I was three years old, saying goodbye broke my heart. But through that loss, God comforted me and reminded me that even when I don't understand His timing, I can trust Him.

And then, exactly one month later, on August 22, 2026, we received the keys to the building that would become Cat Lady Lounge.

For me, that moment meant so much more than getting the keys to a building. It meant I could finally begin building the dream God had placed on my heart and I could carry Beltrix's memory with me as I did it.

At 19 years old, that dream is becoming Cat Lady Lounge.

My hope is that this becomes much more than a place to visit cats. I pray that it becomes a place filled with love, compassion, community, second chances, and maybe even a few answered prayers. I hope we can support local rescues, help cats find loving homes, and give people a place to experience just how special these animals truly are.

Most importantly, I want everything I do here to honor God. Cat Lady Lounge is part of my testimony another reminder in my life that God can take our love, our loss, our dreams, and even the things we don't understand yet, and use them for something beautiful.

Beltrix helped give me the dream. God gave me the strength and opportunity to pursue it. And now, this is only the beginning.
